Does Go Church recruit young people by dancing on the Meir in Antwerp?
Go Church members do dance, sing and talk to passers-by on the Meir, and the church posts the videos on its own public TikTok. It is street evangelism, which Jesus commanded when he said “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel,” and the church’s own videos show adults doing it openly on Antwerp’s shopping street.

What the film left out
Luna describes what anyone walking down the Meir could see: dancing, singing, games, and people talking to passers-by and inviting them to church. Go Church posts the same scenes itself on its public TikTok account, @gochurchbe, going back to May 2022. Nothing about it is hidden.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills grounds this in scripture. At a ministers’ conference in Abuja in August 2025 he said he claims no special call to the nations: “I have not heard any such thing.” He goes because Jesus told his followers to go, and because the Bible says “do the work of an evangelist”.
Article 19 of the Belgian Constitution guarantees freedom of worship and its free public exercise, except for offences committed in using that freedom. Singing and preaching on a public street is that freedom in use.

And I want to say to all of us that, you know, Jesus said, ‘Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.’ … It’s not like there’s some special my son my son you shall go to the nations. The scripture
…doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
Jesus pictures a shepherd who goes out after the one sheep that is lost. Going to people where they are, on the street, follows the same picture.
The verdict
Go Church does its outreach in the open, films it and posts it for anyone to see. Christians who take the gospel to the street are doing what Jesus told them to do.

Is street evangelism allowed in Belgium?
Article 19 of the Belgian Constitution guarantees freedom of worship and its free public exercise, except for offences committed in using that freedom. Singing and preaching in a public street is part of that freedom.
Does Go Church target minors on the street?
Go Church told VRT in writing that it “is open to people of all ages and does not specifically target minors in its outreach.” VRT did not broadcast that answer.
Where else does Go Church do outreach?
VRT itself names the Korenmarkt in Ghent, Leuven, and Mechelen station. The church’s own TikTok shows outreach on the Meir going back to 2022.
